This is a single sided Whetstone (Toishi) with 8000 grit and comes with a base, this is the perfect finish for a knife that has already been through a medium grit or semi-fine grit stone and needs to be finished smooth.
There is a small stick stone in the box.
1. Wet the small stick stone and the base of stone.
2. Make it circle on the base stone, you will see a slurry begin to form.
3. Make sure the base stone is wet enough, then you sharp your knife.
Do not Soak in water! Just sprinkle water
