SRS13 steel is an innovative metal developed by Nachi-Fujikoshi. Capable of reaching a hardness of HRC64 through heat treatment, SRS13 knives are stainless, extremely sharp, and allow for fast cutting.

SRS13 steel balances hardness with resilience because there is room for flexibility in the heat treatment process. This flexibility makes the blades less prone to chipping than SG2/R2 steel.
