What Is Blue Steel?

Aogami or Blue Steel is a high-carbon steel alloy. It typically consists of 1.0-1.3% carbon content, similar to what you might find in Shirogami or White Steel. The difference is the addition of two elements ‚ÄĒ tungsten and chromium.
